Creation of the Dominican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida

Orlando, Florida – March 28, 2008. – Dominican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, Inc.

The Dominican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida (DCCCF) was officially established to help the growing Dominican business owners and the Dominican and Hispanic community of the region.

“We as Dominicans took an important step today. This Chamber is a non-profit, non-political membership organization promoting the trade and business interests of its members and the economic, commercial, and financial growth and social well being of Dominican and Hispanic community of Central Florida” said Mr. Luis P. Puesan, president and founder of the DCCCF, during the ceremony. “Another of our main goals is to influence public policy on business issues and initiatives that impact Hispanics and other ethnic groups’ businesses and the community of Central Florida; and to promote commercial exchange between the Dominican Republic and the State of Florida.”

During the ceremony the Board of Directors signed the Article of Incorporation and Bylaws that established this chamber of commerce. Additionally, the Board also selected May 16 as the official date to launch the Chamber's first event as an introduction to the general public. The time and place for this event will be determined later.

Mr. Emilio Perez, president of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, and Lydia Dore, representing Conexion Empresarial of the Centro Cristiano Restauración were present at the ceremony. Mr. Perez is also advisor of the DCCCF Board of Directors. At the event, Mr. Puesan and Mr. Perez agreed to reach a mutual cooperation between both chambers of commerce to strengthen the Dominican - Puerto Rican business and cultural relations in Central Florida.

Creación de la Cámara de Comercio Dominicana de la Florida Central

Orlando, Florida – 28 de Marzo de 2008 – Cámara de Comercio Dominicana de la Florida Central, Inc.

La Cámara de Comercio Dominicana de la Florida Central fue oficialmente establecida para ayudar al creciente numero de dueños de negocios Dominicanos y la comunidad dominicana e hispana de la región.

“Nosotros como Dominicanos hemos dado hoy un importante paso. Esta Cámara es una organización sin fines de lucro, no afiliada a ninguna organización política creada para promover el intercambio y los intereses comerciales de sus miembros, y el crecimiento del bienestar económico, comercial y financiero de la comunidad dominicana y Hispana de la Florida Central” dijo el señor Luis P. Puesan, presidente y fundador de la Cámara, durante la ceremonia. “Otras de nuestras metas mas importante es de influir in la política publica que tengan que ver con decisiones de negocios y tomar iniciativas que impacten a los negocios de los hispanos y otro grupos étnicos y la comunidad de la Florida Central; y también promover el intercambio comercial de la Republica Dominicana y el Estado de la Florida.”

En la ceremonia, la Directiva firmo el Artículo de Incorporación y los Estatutos que crea esta cámara de comercio. Además, la Directiva también eligió la fecha de Mayo 16 para lanzar el primer evento de la cámara como su introducción al público general. El lugar y la hora de este evento serán determinados luego.

Estuvo presente el señor Emilio Pérez, presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto Rico de la Florida Central, y la señora Lydia Dore, representante de Conexión Empresarial del Centro Cristiano Restauración. Durante el evento, el señor Puesan y el señor Pérez acordaron establecer una cooperación común entre ambas cámaras de comercio para fortalecer las relaciones de negocios y culturales entre Dominicanos y Puerto Riqueños en la Florida Central.
